Lebanon’s Health Ministry said Thursday that 29 people were killed and 124 wounded in Israeli strikes over the past 24 hours.
In a statement, the ministry said the new fatalities brought the death toll since March 2 to 2,196, with 7,185 others injured.
The victims include 260 women and 172 children, while 1,167 and 661 others were injured, respectively, it added.
Earlier, the Israeli army was preparing to announce a ceasefire in Lebanon, Haaretz newspaper reported.
However, a Lebanese official told Anadolu that the country has not yet received any notification regarding Israel’s intention to announce a ceasefire later Thursday.
